"FPGA: addressing the challenge of next generation system design"

Xilinx, Altera and Adeas will give a joint lecture with at the Bits & Chips Hardware Conference on June 9th. A special event as this is the first time Xilinx and Altera are cooperating in a lecture.

Together Xilinx en Altera had a market share of 89%* of the $4.78bn global programmable logic market.
Both firms are extremely successful and are without a doubt the leading players in the global FPGA market today.
Adeas is proud to be a design partner to both and in this capacity is very well informed with respect to new devices, tools and IP available now and in the near future.

The joint lecture at the Hardware Conference will entail Steven Hofmans and Mark van der Bolt presenting "back to back" the choices Xilinx and Altera made concerning the architecture and build up of their new 28nm devices. The attentive listener is sure to notice differences.
The new generation of FPGA's will on account of their performance and functionality become the central component in many electronic designs of the future. This role and increasing functionality also entails an increase in the required know how of the design team and number of design choices to be made. Adeas, design house and FPGA design specialist will present how to tackle these challenges.
In spite of more and better tooling, good designs with optimal use of resources can only be achieved by skilled architects and designers.
